Hello there, and welcome to my portfolio! Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Addison Daubendiek. I am 22 years old, from St. Louis, and I am a senior graphic design major at Mizzou.
My faith is a big part of who I am. My relationship with God influences how I live, create, and connect with others. It helps guide my purpose and how I approach my work; with intention, empathy, and creativity.
As for the arts, my love for them started early. My grandmother is a professional artist and has been one of my biggest inspirations. She has taught me everything from drawing and painting to sewing and embroidery; which are just a few of the creative outlets I’ve come to love. Her influence played a huge role in my decision to pursue a career in graphic design.
Aside from design, I love to travel. So far, I’ve been to six countries; Senegal, England, France, Germany, Mexico, and Barbados, and I plan to add many more to that list.
Music is also very important to me. I’m one of those people who says “I listen to everything,” and I really mean it. My playlists are all over the place with a mix of many different genres and decades of music. If I had to pick my favorite artist of all time, without a doubt, it would be The Weeknd.
I genuinely love what I’m studying, but I’m also a big believer in work-life balance. I don’t live to work, I work so that I can live.
